Mission Statement
My mission is to encourage the youth to live their dreams, do their thing, and make smart choices for today and tomorrow. I want them to feel life. I also wish to save lives through literacy and by writing books that teach heroism. Heroes abound in our everyday lives, but they don't go recognized. They feel like nobody, but if you see yourself as a friend, they see you as someone successful. That is why you have to see that, too.
I also want to promote the importance of reading and writing. The brain becomes stronger when we read and write (writing by hand especially). Reading is beneficial for growth and lets you get into another world.
"Fill your mind with the concepts of harmony, health, peace, and goodwill, and wonders will happen in your life."

Book 2 of The Hero Series kept me so engaged that I couldn't put it down, and if I did it was briefly. I've enjoyed reading every chapter, as they were a combination of suspense, intrigue, life lessons and more. I particularly enjoyed the portions that touch our emotions as human beings. Great reading, surprising outcome for some of the characters involved. Imagination is definitely awakened in "He Was My Hero, Too". Great story!! Again, Nice job Mr. Hoover

This book is an eye opening on the current issues that young people particularly from low income families face almost everyday. Many try hard to escape the roads of drugs, gang etc..., but soon succumb to the pressure of a system structured against them. Bennett was a hero but also a martyr. This book is a great read about love, friendship, loyalty, resilience and self esteem. I highly recommend it.
